I am a 25 year old Cambridge based illustrator originally from Dublin, Ireland. I graduated with an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Anglia Ruskin University last year and I am now hoping to make a living doing what I love- I am obsessed with drawing! I am constantly sketching, drawing and doodling, my imagination firing on all cylinders! I am also very interested in history and I love to combine both my passion for illustration and my passion for history in my creative projects.

Some spreads from '6 Rue Ajacou'
I really enjoyed indulging my dark side with this horror story, and allowing myself to be as gruesome and 'unsafe' as possible with the characters and the illustrations- whilst at the same time allowing my sense of humor to make an appearance. This project led to my discovery and subsequent love affair with the brush pen and it is also the first time I utilized ink swatches in my work. It was also my first attempt at writing a story and creating characters from scratch. I learned a lot from this project and it was in many ways a turning point for me as an illustrator.
Some spreads from my 'Elizabeth' project
Again, this project was inspired by my love of history and my fascination with the Tudors, particularly Elizabeth I.
Pen and colouring pencils.

Rough spreads from the dummy book:
Early sketches for my 'Elizabeth' book
In the very beginning of the projects I toyed around with cat characters and a more humorous, tongue-in-cheek tone. These sketches are in crayon.
Cats
I adore cats and find all kinds of inspiration from them!
The following three are in crayon and inks.

The rest are in my beloved brush pen and inks.
